The Centre facilitates individuals, groups and institutions representing the diversity of the community to pursue research questions and training opportunities related to the understanding and prevention of abuse.ResponsibilitiesThe Technical Specialist (Media) supports knowledge mobilization activities within the Centre for Research & Education on Violence against Women & Children. This role contributes to the mission by facilitating effective dissemination of research through webinars, in-person and online meetings, social media, and various resources (e.g., reports, bulletins, videos). Key responsibilities include coordinating and testing web conferencing services for medium/large-scale events, providing technical support for guest speakers, and ensuring the smooth delivery of online sessions. The role includes managing participant connection instructions, implementing best practices, addressing security, monitoring online chat rooms, and troubleshooting issues.The Technical Specialist (Media) will also support web conferencing tools, recommend system functions to enhance the learner experience, and handle post-production of recorded events. The role also leverages social media to promote knowledge mobilization events, create engaging content, monitor online interactions, and compile social media metrics to maximize audience reach and engagement.QualificationsEducation:
