Huawei Canada has an immediate 12-month contract opening for a Technology Planning Engineer.About the team:The Data Center Network Lab focuses on advancing next-generation data center networks and transport technologies. Working together with industry experts, the lab addresses complex networking challenges and integrates innovative research into various product lines. The team specializes in network protocol and architecture design for computing, cloud and storage interconnections, aiming to establish a leading network system. This lab fosters personal and professional growth, encouraging learning and team development in the digital intelligence era.About the job:Responsible for industry and academic technical trend survey, analysis, insights and technical planning for networking and interconnect related technologies in Data Center Networking, Campus Network, carrier network, cloud networking, etc).Attend industry and academic conferences abroad; communicate and discuss related technical topics and build connections with academia and industry partners and organizations .Advise on technology trends, research direction and product planning, based on in-depth industry, customer, and technology analysis.About the ideal candidate:PhD in Computer Science, Telecommunication, Electronic Technology, Automation, or related fields. Alternatively, an equivalent working experience with Master’s degree in similar domain.Good grasp of network technologies such as Ethernet, TCP/IP protocols, and basic AI knowledge.Good written communication and presentation skills.Available for domestic and international business travel (approximately 10-30%).
