Global Financial Firm located in Mississauga, ON has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Technology Project Manager“This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule.
You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access into the client systems during remote work.

We are looking to recruit a Technology Project Manager to ensure the Risk Technology Book of Work is achieved in accordance to Clients and Regulators expectations. You will closely collaborate with developers to support them with changes, updates, strategic planning and reporting.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a complex and challenging risk technology set of projects delivering Client’s target state capabilities. These impact Markets Front Office Technology teams, market risk managers and financial controllers driving the buildout of Client’s franchise-critical strategic cross-business platform.Key Responsibilities:

• Act as project manager for delivery of key business and regulatory projects under Client’s cross-asset risk technology strategy.
• Scrum Master and Product owner responsibilities for some of the components involved in the overall platform
• Collaborate with product owners and scrum masters of other agile teams to create and maintain detail project plans with high level views on milestones
• Coordinate on dependencies and facilitate discussion across asset class technology teams and quant teams to resolve outstanding risk and issues
• Producing presentations and reports for senior management and regulators alike on progress on key programs
• Attending workshops, working groups and other relevant meetings with senior technology stakeholders.

Knowledge/Experience:

• Experience in financial technology
• Experience of working under an Agile approach and Atlassian JIRA tool
• Ideally have managed complex technology projects for a major investment bank
• Experience of delivering on projects in geographically diverse, multi-team set-ups
• Technology Project Management background to effectively progress on cross asset and cross function projects
• Identify key gaps in project plan and dependencies and ability to organize/facilitate conversation leading to an acceptable conclusion
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Banking, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy
• Applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
