- Responsible for timely investigation, working with contractors, creating scope of work and obtaining work pricing on assigned Deficiency Tickets. All assigned deficiency tickets must be validated to determine the work required (working with the Project Manager and assigned technician) and ensure the scope is the responsibility of the Civil Specialist.
- Attend site visits to confirm scope of work related to owner issues, site maintenance or site improvement.
- Provide suggestions on best solutions for site design and interface with engineering consultants, to comply with company and industry standards, while minimizing costs.
- Prepare and submit documentation for recommended reviews and approvals, as required.
- Clarify all preliminary details when responding to owner, site maintenance or site upgrade issues, if necessary, such as site surveys, geotechnical reports, hydroelectric developments, location of services , specific owner requirements, etc.
- For site maintenance and owner issues, prepare bid sheets and conduct tenders. Review bid submissions and determine winning contractors.
- Oversee all civil aspects of site repairs, maintenance upgrades and owner-related issues, including any change requests. Ensure that you maintain the best value for money.
- Maintain supplier relationships with civil contractors.
- Evaluate and resolve all site infrastructure maintenance and repair issues identified by deficiency tickets or as requested by district managers.
- Obtain quotes for operational capital-funded improvements and manage issues until resolved.
- Assume special project missions at the request of the FSC – Civil Manager such as deployment projects relating exclusively to Network Infrastructure.

- Tower inspections and maintenance
- Infrastructure upgrades
- Budget – Cost control
- Health and safety knowledge and compliance
- Functions of civil administration
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience with Power BI, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
- Extremely good at problem solving, prioritization and attention to detail.
- Successful experience influencing cross-functional individuals and teams.
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous initiatives.
- Creativity, flexibility and the ability to manage time and reset priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Superior skill set including analytical thinking and problem solving, coaching and leadership, presentation and facilitation, negotiation and relationship building as well as in-depth investigative, listening and positioning.
- High level of energy and strong passion to lead team members to project success and ensure the delivery of a positive customer experience.
- Post-secondary studies, preferably in the field of telecommunications technology and infrastructure.
- PM certification would be an asset.
- Having mastery of one or more process methodologies (6 Sigma, Kaizen or ITIL) would be an asset
