Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tool & Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing precision dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures used in production. This position requires a strong background in machining, blueprint reading, and problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties

Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, EDM, etc.) to build and repair tools and dies.
Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD data to produce precision components.
Perform precision fitting and assembly of dies, jigs, and fixtures.
Conduct troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on tooling to ensure quality and efficiency.
Inspect finished tools and dies for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop improvements in tooling design and manufacturing processes.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Tool & Die apprenticeship or technical program preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Tool & Die Maker in a precision manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in tool making or a related field within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CNC programming, and operation of CNC machinery.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools for assembly and repair tasks.
Familiarity with machining processes including welding techniques is preferred.
Excellent math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
Ability to read technical documents such as schematics and blueprints effectively.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
