Overview:

Our client is currently seeking a hand-on, reliable Lock Installer to join their team! You eill travel across Ontario and sometimes Eastern and Western Canada installing, upgrading, and maintaining hospitality locks in hotels, retirement homes, condos and other buildings. You’ll work with a variety of lock systems — keycard This position requires a lot of travel across Ontario as most projects are 1 and 4 weeks long.

Here is What You Will Be Doing:

In this position you will work with a variety of lock system – Key card, RFID, magnetic stripe and more. Every job is a bit different, and we are looking for someone who is flexible, skilled and ready to hit the road.

• Travel to job sites across Ontario and sometimes further
• Install, upgrade, and maintain hospitality locks
• Customize and configure lock systems to fit each job
• Alter pre-hung doors as needed for specific locks
• Handle electronic components and integrate with other security systems
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Work closely with project managers, team leads, and other installers

Are You Qualified?:

• Valid G Driver’s license
• Working at Heights Certification
• Able to pass a Police check
• Comfortable using hand and power tolls
• Training or certification in locksmithing, carpentry or security systems is a bonus
• Experience installing and maintaining hospitality locks
• Knowledge of key card, RFID, and other lock systems
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Able to work both solo and with a team
• Must be willing to travel often and stay away from home for weeks at a time

Job Perks:

• Project completion bonus
• Company vehicle provided if needed
• Mileage reimbursement if using own vehicle $0.50 per km
• Travel expenses covered by company

Physical Demands of the Job:

• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting up to and including 45 lbs
• Bending, twisting, pushing and pulling
