If so, we want to talk to you!Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Utilities Supervisor. Supervising a team of 8, this role involves preventive maintenance work, state of good repair work, inspections, testing, projects, construction, and maintenance operations that include ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical/hydraulic doors and filtration systems and oversees BAS, and exhibit lighting control systems. This position will assist and provide support in implementing the Strategic Plan.Qualifications
- Possess college education and/or a minimum Gas Technician I License valid in the Province of Ontario along with additional recognized trade certificate/licence such as, refrigeration air conditioning mechanic, construction & maintenance electrician, Class 4 stationary engineer or millwright.
- Have 3-5 years progressive related experience, including 1 year demonstrated ability to lead and supervise.
- Experience in a unionized environment preferred.
- Ability to read schematic and electrical plans.
- Knowledge of the calibration of electrical and pneumatic controls.
- Understanding of computer monitoring systems.
- Experience managing budgets
- Possess a class G driver’s license valid in the Province of Ontario along with a good driving record.
- Intermediate knowledge of computer programs and systems, including Microsoft Office 365.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, along with strong communications skills.
- Must have a working knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and WHMIS legislation.
- Able to work Monday to Friday including holidays.
- Capable of meeting the physical demands of the position.
