Oil States Energy Services (Canada) Inc. specializes in custom designed wellhead isolation equipment for high pressure stimulation services on oil or gas wells. Our Red Deer location has an immediate opening for a full time Valve Technician to assemble and test new and refurbished tools and assist with all support and maintenance activities in the shop.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Must possess a general working knowledge of hand, power, and pneumatic tools. • Must have basic problem solving skills. • Must have basic math skills. • Must have basic computer skills. • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays and on call as needed. • Must be able to work well individually, in teams and or in groups. • Must be able to rapidly adapt to changes and demands based upon workflow. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Oilfield or similar industry knowledge preferred. CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR LICENCES: • Clean and Valid Class 5 or 3 Drivers License PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Standing, walking, frequently lifting 50 pounds and occasionally lifting 75-100 pounds (or more), carrying, pushing, and repetitive wrist and hand movements • Exposure to loud noise, vibrations • Exposure to various weather climates
