Location: Ottawa, ON CanadaTerm: ContractHigh Tech Genesis is seeking a VxWorks Embedded Developer with experience in implementing, testing, and debugging VxWorks or similar RTOS for embedded devices. Excellent communication skills are essential for working with customer technical teams. The candidate should have a proven background in designing and testing embedded systems, troubleshooting, solution architecture, and creating schedules and cost estimates, along with strong documentation and coding skills.Your responsibilities include:Work with the Project Manager, co-workers, the customer and the sales team to deliver high quality board support packages (BSPs) on T2080 architectures using the VxWorks real-time operating system.Act as the customer facing technical expert.Design and develop complete solutions requiring device driver development, board configurations up to application optimizations.5+ years of embedded systems development experience, with at least three years with a real-time operating systemExperience developing embedded real-time systems on various architecturesStrong troubleshooting, design and architecture experienceSeveral years of C language expertiseStrong written and verbal communication skillsTrack record of estimating and completing software development tasks on timeSelf-motivated, independent, and comfortable working directly with customerAbility to independently formulate direction given vague requirementsDirect customer interface experience with a track record of achieving high levels of customer satisfactionDemonstrated strength in planning and organization; effectiveness as a team leader; drive and perseverance in accomplishing goals; professional integrity; adaptability to new projects; resourcefulness; energy and motivation to initiate and complete tasks; and enthusiasm building expertise in the technologyExperience working with and guiding international teams is a plusExperience with T2080-like architectures is a plusBachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalentHigh Tech Genesis Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
