Warehouse Associate in Brampton, Ontario

Position Summary:

The General Warehouse Associate (Anchoring- Afternoon shift) will be required to perform a variety of job tasks within the Shipping Department at our Brampton Distribution Centre. Some of the key responsibilities for this role are as follows:

• Retrieve and place empty pallets in each assigned anchor location

• Scan barcode labels as required and place cartons onto the right pallet

• Transfer the pallet to the wrapping station or wrap pallets

• Transfer the pallet to the staging lane

• Place cartons onto level one of the Pack & Hold racking

• Other duties as assigned

Other Job Requirements:

• Must consistently adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the VF Policy handbook

• Be willing and able to work in other departments as needed (Inbound, Picking, Processing)

• Perform housekeeping duties as required while contributing to maintaining a safe and clean work environment

• Consistently follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions

• Meet and/or exceed all productivity standards/targets for each activity performed while meeting all quality standards

• Must work well with minimal supervision in a team-based environment

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

• Good verbal communication skills in English required

• Ability to read pertinent information in English that is found on computer or RF device screens, vendor cartons, pick tickets or shipping labels

• Demonstrated successful track record of working safely

• Demonstrated record of excellent attendance and punctuality

• Flexibility and team focus when asked to perform other duties as required

• Ability to walk/stand all day and bend, lift and push

• Ability to work at height within our multi-level pick tower structure

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout his/her shift

• Distribution/Warehouse experience preferred

Hiring Range :

$15.00 CAD – $18.75 CAD per hour
