Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for hand order picking, building pallets for shipment, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse. This role involves working in cool environments, and you must be comfortable with working in coolers for short periods.

Responsibilities

• Hand order picking and building pallets for shipment (50-60% of the time).

• Operating SDCB and rider pallet jack (10-20% of the time).

• Offloading and loading containers, only if very experienced on the machines (20% of the time).

• Using an RF scanner and pick sheet to prepare orders for shipment.

• Wrapping skids and moving pallets.

• General clean-up of the warehouse.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 50lbs.

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience (within the past 2 years) operating SDCB forklift and rider pallet jack.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2 full years of experience operating a SDCB.

• Experience in a similar industry warehouse.

Work Environment

The warehouse is a fast-paced and busy environment with constant deliveries coming in and going out. The team consists of 9 people, with approximately 50 total employees. The dress code requires warm clothing, including sweaters, jackets, long pants, and steel-toed boots. A vest will be provided. The shift starts at 7 am for training and then moves to 8:00am-4:30 pm, with frequent overtime required. You will work every Saturday and every stat holiday, with two days off per week (Sunday and Wednesday). Break times include two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute break. WARM CLOTHING IS A MUST! Casual attire is acceptable, but no shorts are allowed. The person is required to check in with the supervisor before leaving the shift.
